The Youngest Alumnus

Last night, here was a homecoming n my high school alma mater. Of course, being an almnus of the school, I have to go there. It’s a get together of the 50+ batches who graduated from Saint James Academy and get to know one another.

Unfortunately, I was the only member of Batch 07 who attended the homecoming desptie sending notices in advance to my batchmates via YM and a text brigaed to add with that (including word-of-mouth). The only one from 07 other than me is our batch rep, Tolits, who heped usher the event.

Soon enough, the program started with a mass presided by a Jamer priest from the class of 81. After that the main program proper. There was a raffle and a trivia contest with rpizes ranging from botle of wine to hair curlers to bags of thermos.

All of a sudden, I was called before the whole alumni body as I was dubbed as the “youngest attendee” of the homecoming. They forgot to add the “only attendee” from our batch. (Mr. Zaporteza of Batch 2001 was there with four from batch02 and one loner of 03).

My prize?: A balck bag with a large thermo inside courtesy of Manila Water, who is currently presided by a Jamer from Batch 59 (I think) Mr. Tony Aquino.

This year’s glden jubilarians arethe class of 58 and the silver jubilarians are the class of 83.

My batches silver anniversary will be held on 2017 when all of us are already about 37 years old while 2057 is our golden year! Waghh!

I forgot, another batch 07 attendee was Maviel but just for a short while. She serenaded the audience with her voice and many were amazed by her talent, honed and crafted by Saint James Academy.

Being an MMA student, I was tasked to man the laptop of one of the alumni to play a dvd made by Class of 61.

I hope next year, marami ang dadalo, ayoko mag-isa ahhhhggggahhh!

The CSB Experience: What If I Joined the The Team?

My Photoshop Artworks in 2 years!

Yehey! I finally got a hands on over SDA’s multimedia labs. unlike the other comlabs in AKIC and in Main, this labs are equipped with Adobe Photoshop thus giving instant access to edit and make good pics for sure!

It’s been a while since I last used Photoshop, and that was during 3rd year high school (Go MoF, III-Mo. Francisca!). I had a photo-editing software program at home, Arcsoft Photostudio 2000 but since March, I ahven’t been able to use it as much as then for reasons still unknown. I can’t use its major functions as the programs gets automatically freezes and hanged up.

It’s been a dream come true to finally be able to use Photoshop. But because I haven’t used it for a long time, i can no longer recall onmany of themajor lessons I learned on using this program.

So far, this is as far as I can come up with.

Models: Greg and 2 fellow H16 classmates, ex-orgmates Riza and Maika, and professional “models” Carlo and Gilbert.

This is “where anything is possible”.

The CSB Experience: Nanakakakakahiya!!!

I was at the “warp zone” on my way down to Plaza V. I was listening to a song in my I-pod and it was prety much catchy to the ear. Next thing I knew I was dancing and lip syncing all the way, but good thing that no one was there to see me act that way.

Never did I realized that by the time I got to the 2nd floor out of the “warp zone”, there wer two guys sitting at a couch near the zone. And next thing I knew (I already stopped dancing just as I left the third floor), they were looking at me as if they were like “What the?!” Their mouths were wide open, their eyes were full of wonder. They probabaly ahd no idea on what the heck I was doing.

Man, I never felt this so embarassed. When they saw me, i was already looking out in case someone may see me, but such in a way that you wouldn’t expect from a college student. there are tiomes when i get so high with excitement especially if I was into something like listening tot his song or watching this show on tv, etc.

I panicked, I can’t seem to figure out what to do next. After I found out they saw me acting in an odd way, I pretended that I didn’t noticed and hurriedly left the area to go straight to Plaza V.

Even now, I can’t help but think that that image will going to be get stuck in their heads. What’s bad about it that one of them I encountered once again on my train home at the LRT. Aghhhh!
